Up to 1 in 4 Americans and 1.3 billion people in the world have some form of a disability. Yet, these are often one of the most overlooked groups when it comes to advocating for equal rights and only deepens for women, mothers, and minority groups with disabilities.
Now, we’re changing this narrative.
Join us for a day of impactful conversations as we celebrate Disability Pride Month and elevate the voices of people with disabilities across the board. All are welcome to join this virtual program as we speak with leaders about their experiences and efforts to amplify disability awareness throughout the workplace and beyond.
We all face daily reminders of our identities throughout the workday. This reality especially rings true for women with disabilities. But how do people with physical and hidden disabilities navigate their intersectional identities in the workplace? In this conversation, we’ll explore how women with disabilities are unpacking the many layers of their identities and how managers can break barriers by understanding the fullness of their colleagues' experiences.

Working mothers already struggle to find balance, which only intensifies as they advance to leadership positions. But how does this deepen for women who are raising kids with disabilities? Women who are caring for kids with special needs are often overlooked and their stories left untold. In this session, we'll discuss how these women seek work-life balance, access emotional and physical well-being, and cultivate the support systems they need to thrive.
One billion people around the world live with some form of disability, but according to Getty Images’ VisualGPS research, they are depicted in less than 1% of visuals chosen by brands and advertisers and 20% of the population is considered to be Neurodiverse. The reality is that this is a diverse community with a wide range of needs and lived experiences. Representation of the disability community in marketing and advertising is often inaccurate, tokenized, or completely absent. With resources available at their disposal, brands can help create authentic and multi-faceted depictions of people, as well as help accelerate inclusivity and intersectionality in their global marketing and advertising more broadly. We will share marketing tools available to help us all be more intentional in our marketing.
