80% of the people displaced and impacted by climate change are women. So why do women only represent 33% of climate-related decision making roles? And, out of 110 world leaders present at COP27, why were only 7 women?
As climate change intensifies, women face higher rates of violence, displacement, and poverty. Now more than ever, we need to ensure that women receive support to cope with the hazards of climate change. It’s time to change the equation and close the eco gender gap.
The Equality Lounge® @ COP28 in Dubai will bring together conscious leaders to share ideas, actions, and advance equality.
We hope to see you there!
If you won’t be there IRL, please tune in virtually - we will be livestreaming all sessions to our @femalequotient social channels!
